Terms and conditions

1. Scope and parties

These terms apply to agreements between Miceplotflow B.V. (studio or we) and you over studio hire, engineering, mixing, mastering, podcast recording and related services at Overtoom 574, Amsterdam.

They apply together with your quote or confirmation. If the quote conflicts, the quote prevails unless it explicitly defers to these terms and contains a more specific rule.

Only people aged 16 or older book independently; younger artists are welcome with written consent and a parent or guardian present during the session.

3. How the contract is formed

A request via the contact form, phone or email is non-binding. We send a quote within 2 business days when we have capacity. The contract is formed when you accept the quote in writing (email is enough) and the deposit reaches our account, unless the quote says written acceptance alone is sufficient.

We may decline requests that are unsafe, exceed 6 musicians at once in the live room, or follow repeated no-shows.

4. Prices and VAT

Site prices are guides including 21% VAT, e.g. €95 for Vocal recording per hour or €185 per song for Mixing. The binding amount is on your quote. Business quotes also show net amounts (e.g. €78.51 per hour).

Extra hours during a session are charged only if you confirm them, at the hourly rate on the quote. Special deliverables are listed on the quote or services page.

5. Payment

After acceptance you pay a 30% deposit. The balance is due on the session day (consumers) or within 14 days of invoice date (business clients), unless agreed otherwise.

For late business payments we may charge statutory commercial interest and reasonable recovery costs. Until full payment we may withhold final mix or master files; raw sessions follow article 9.

6. Cancellation, rescheduling and no-show

Send requests in writing to [email protected] with your quote reference. If we cancel (breakdown, engineer illness), we offer a new date or a full refund.

7. Right of withdrawal (consumers, distance)

If you are a consumer and contract at a distance (email, phone, form), you may withdraw within 14 days without giving reasons, unless a legal exception applies. If you ask us to start on a fixed session date within that period, withdrawal may require payment for work already done.

Notify withdrawal via [email protected] or post to Overtoom 574, 1054 LM Amsterdam. We refund within 14 days using the same payment method where possible.

8. Running sessions

Sessions are by appointment within Mon–Fri 10am–10pm, Sat 11am–6pm. Arrive on time; Tram 1 or 7: stop Overtoom (towards the city centre). Walk about three minutes west along Overtoom; the entrance is on street level beside the large windows. From Amsterdam Zuid station: metro 52 or tram 1 towards the centre, exit at Overtoom. On-street paid parking only; no private car park.. Non-smoking premises. Follow engineer instructions for safety and sound.

Up to 6 musicians at once in the 42 m² live room; the 9 m² vocal booth is for one singer at a time. You may bring instruments; you are liable for deliberate or gross damage to studio property.

We keep monitor levels moderate and provide hearing protection. Singers: see prepare your voice for a session.

9. Files, delivery and archive

Unless stated otherwise we deliver recordings as 24-bit WAV via secure download or your media. Mix and master follow mixing and mastering pages; formats are explained in mix delivery formats.

We keep session and project files for 24 months after the last activity on that title, then delete unless you order extended storage in writing. You are responsible for backups after delivery.

10. Revisions

Mixing and mastering include 2 revision rounds; one round means one bundled list of notes. Extra rounds or a new artistic direction after approval are quoted separately. In-studio recording is adjusted on the day; overnight re-tracking requires a new booking.

11. Intellectual property and rights

You keep ownership of your compositions and lyrics. You warrant that samples and covers are cleared. We claim no copyright in your music.

Sound recordings are generally owned by whoever initiates and pays for the recording — usually you. After full payment we do not grant third parties rights in your audio. We do not use your recordings to train AI or clone voices without separate written consent.

Portfolio use on our site or social channels only with your prior yes.

12. Liability

We perform work with the care of a professional studio; artistic outcome also depends on your preparation. Our liability for direct loss is capped at the invoice for that job, except for intent, recklessness or personal injury.

We are not liable for indirect loss, missed releases or lost revenue. For business clients this cap applies where law allows.

13. Force majeure

In force majeure (power failure, pandemic, government measure, major breakdown) we may postpone or cancel without damages; prepaid amounts for unperformed work are refunded or rescheduled by agreement.

14. Personal data

We process data under our privacy policy. Business clients supplying guest or artist data may sign a data processing agreement.

15. Complaints and disputes

Send complaints to [email protected] with a clear description and quote reference; we reply within 2 business days. If unresolved, consumers may use the EU online dispute platform: ODR platform.

Mandatory Dutch consumer rules remain. Disputes may be brought before the competent court in the Amsterdam district unless law requires another forum.

16. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the version of 16 October 2026 applies to new quotes. See also legal notice and disclaimer.
